Hertford Museum

Toothbrush Collection
The never-ending project: Addis from Hertford donated their entire collection of toothbrushes and related items (over 4,500!) to Hertford museum.
Many moons ago, the great William Addis himself invented the modern toothbrush while kicking his heels in jail.
The brushes need logging, photographing, describing, storing and recording on a system. Some of them even earn a place on display in the main museum.
I loved being part of that project. We can confidently say that this is the largest collection of toothbrushes in Europe and probably in the world.
